The 26th edition of the Jerusalem International Book Fair will take place between February 10-15, 2013 at the Jerusalem-International Convention Center, Binyanei Ha'uma. The Romanian stand at the Fair is organized by the Romanian Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony in partnership with the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv and with the support of the Embassy of Romania to the State of Israel.
The Israeli public, as well as the participants to the book fair, will have the opportunity to meet at the 2013 edition with renowned Romanian writers: Varujan Vosganian, Vasile Ernu, Lucian Dan Teodorovici, Bogdan-Alexandru Stănescu, together with the Romanian language Israeli author Madeleine Davidsohn.
First held in 1963, The Jerusalem International Book Fair is a biennial event and attracts thousands of visitors every edition. This year there are expected to participate over 600 publishers and authors from more than 30 countries. The Fair's most important events is the awarding of the prestigious Jerusalem Prize, received during the years by writers such as: Jorge Louis Borges, Eugene Ionesco, Milan Kundera, Ernesto Sabato, Mario Vargas Llosa, Jorge Semprun, Arthur Miller, Haruki Murakami etc. At the 2013 edition, which celebrates 50 years since the establishment of the book fair, the Jerusalem Prize will be awarded to the Spanish writer Antonio Muñoz Molina.
