At the proposal of the EUNIC China clusters (European Union National Institutes for Culture), ICR Beijing organized a Romanian book stand at the EUNIC book fair, titled "Reading Europe: Books and Publications from the European Union," which took place on Saturday, September 28, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, in the Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
The event marked the European Day of Languages and brought together over 11 countries (Bulgaria, the Cervantes Institute (Spain), the Goethe Institute (Germany), Greece, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, etc.), as well as the European Union Delegation in the People's Republic of China.
The fair showcased books from multiple literary genres, available in their original language and/or Chinese, adapted for the local audience. The topics covered were very diverse, ranging from literature and non-fiction to children's books and educational materials.
The event was successful, attracting over 500 visitors. The promotion of the event was carried out on the online platforms of ICR/ICR Beijing and its partners, on social media (Website/WeChat/Facebook), and other social networks.
