The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tokyo and the Romanian Embassy in Japan are organizing a special event on Saturday, May 30, dedicated to International Children’s Day.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Institute’s headquarters in Minato City, Tokyo (3-16-19 Nishiazabu).
The day’s program is dedicated to literature and creativity, featuring the following highlights:
- The launch of the children’s book “The Land of the Upside-Down Sun,” written and illustrated by Dorothea Ko and published with the support of Humanitas Junior.
- A creative play workshop with words and colors, led directly by author Dorothea Ko.
- Presentation of the “Romanian Books for Children” program, a strategic initiative funded by the Romanian Cultural Institute to promote children’s literature.
Informal networking session and open discussions among participants, community representatives, and organizers. Admission to the event is free. Those wishing to attend are asked to send a confirmation to the email address tokyo@icr.ro by May 28. Organizers recommend that participants bring a valid ID for entry.
