Back to the Roots is a music project which communicates the diverse and vibrant energy of Romanian Gypsy/Lautari music. Back to Romania from the US where he started a spectacular musical career, Damian Draghici set up an 18-people brass-band with whom he has created a new mode of music expression, merging extraordinary individual talent of people such as Mircea Thunderstorm Vijelie, Mieluta Deaf Man Surdu, Elvis Bear Ursu, the collective rhythm of old traditional gypsy culture and today's jazz & electronic sound.

With 17 albums, a Grammy win, an immense international following and a deep respect of his peers, Damian, the world's preeminent pan flutist is emerging as a unique music visionary. Moving effortlessly between world, electronica, jazz, rock, trance, gypsy, classical, and post-hip hop genres, he combines and redefines them all in utterly incomparable ways.
