The International Photography Festival, Israel’s largest photography event, has long become an art institution that draws tens of thousands of visitors each year. In 2018 the Festival featured works by 250 international photographers in 40 exhibitions, including performances, video art, music and more. This year’s Festival was dedicated to the theme of Relations. This theme, and all the numerous worlds and interpretations associated with it, has always been a central subject matter for artists, curators, and scholars. The goal for this year’s Festival was to examine the theme of relations from different angles, as well as its relevance in today’s world and the new ways in which it can be represented.
