Dan Grigore is one of the best Romanian pianists. Concert pianist, professor, mentor and public figure, the artist made a name for himself at a very early age when, impressed by his precocious virtuosity, Princess Maria Cantacuzino Enescu granted him the rarely allowed privilege of practising on Enescu's piano. He appeared on most prestigious scenes all over the world and is renowned for an impressive and diverse repertoire, as well as for an extraordinary discography and publications. For his outstanding contributions to the Romanian and European Culture, Dan Grigore was made Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and received the greatest Romanian distinction, The Grand Cross of the Order Star of Romania.
