On March 4, the 2009 edition of the CANTEMIR program was launched by the Romanian Cultural Institute.
CANTEMIR is a co-financing program of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest, meant for activities and cultural projects scheduled abroad, its main objectives being the increase of visibility and accessibility of the Romanian culture, and the promotion of inter-cultural dialogue and cooperation at international level.
The program addresses organizations (in Romania and abroad) as well as Romanian artists.
The projects can be listed under three sections, each of these sections having its own objectives and financing priorities settled accordingly:
SECTION I – FESTIVAL/Culture by Request
SECTION II – PROMOTION/Culture to Go
SECTION III – COOPERATION/Culture to Share
