How Was It Possible? - art exhibition dedicated to the International Holocaust Rememberance Day 27 January - 16 February 2016 Opening on 27 January 2016, 1700 hrs

The Romanian Cultural Institute kindly invites you to the art exhibition dedicated to the International Holocaust Rememberance Day „How Was It Possible?" Wednesday, the 27th of January 2016, 17:00 hrs. at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv.

The exhibition comprises art prints and books made by artists from Romania and Macedonia during a workshop organized at Bușteni by the National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania „Elie Wiesel", in cooperation with the Museum of the Holocaust Yad Vashem between the 13th and the 23rd of July 2014 (details: http://www.inshr-ew.ro/ro/educatie-si-cultura/evenimente-educationale/122-workshop-ul-international-de-gravura-cum-a-fost-posibil-memoria-holocaustului.html) as well as during a follow-up organized in November 2015 at the Graphic Art Department of the National University of Art in Bucharest. 

The opening will take place on January 27th, 2016, 17:00 hrs. Moderator: Sarah Einik, artist and curator, the director of the project. Participants: H.E. Andreea Păstârnac, Ambassador of Romania in the State of Israel; Dr. Alexander Avraham, Director, Hall of Names, Yad Vashem; Elisabeth Ungureanu, the National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania „Elie Wiesel"; PhD Anca Boeriu, National University of Art in Bucharest; Zeev Schwartz, president, Hitachdut Olei Romania; Col.(ret.) Shlomo Ron, A.M.I.R.; Anat Benson, Beit Berl College.

The exhibition will be open to the public Monday to Thursday, 10:00 - 16:00 hrs., at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, 8 Shaul Hamelech blvd., 6th floor, between the 27th of January and the 16th of February, 2016.

The artworks were made by the artists: Alexandra Baciu, Gheorghiță Galan, Orhan Kamilov, Selime Osmani, Ruxandra Albulescu, Răzvan Anghelache, Srdjan Mikik, Florina Niță and by the art students coordinated by PhD Anca Boeriu and assistant Ioana Ciocan: Ruxandra Albulescu, Dan Dumitru, Laura Niculescu, Daniela Gaie, Iulia Ciocea, Raluca Orza, Dora Marian, Alexandra Chiriță, Alexandra Dinu, Iulia Oprea, Dan Stancu, Constanța Moșoi, Vlad Mavriche.
