December 3, 2015, at 8:00 p.m., in Martinů Hall of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU),‎ Malostranské náměstí 13, Prague 1

On the occasion of the National Day of Romania, Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague organizes an anniversary concert on December 3, 2015, at 8:00 p.m., in Martinů Hall of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU). Representatives of the Romanian diaspora, members of the Association of Romanians in the Czech Republic and of the Czech Republic-Romania Association, diplomats and cultural attachés accreditted in the Czech Republic, as well as personalities of the local cultural and political scene will be invited to attend the event, where they will have an opportunity to enjoy the extraordinary recital of pianist Ana Silvestru accompanied by tenor Henter Tamas Bertalan. This is not the duo's first collaboration as they have recently recorded Winterreise by Franz Schubert together. The two artists will perform several musical pieces selected in accordance with the National Day celebration, tastefully incorporating a historically important moment into the festive time of winter traditions: Five songs on Verlaine's verses Cinci cântece pe versuri de Verlaine (Dinu Lipatti, 1917-1950), Le Tombeau de Couperin Mormântul lui Couperin (Maurice Ravel, 1875-1937), an excerpt from Sept chansons de Clément Marot Șapte cântece pe versuri de Clément Marot (George Enescu, 1881-1955) and Two Romanian Dances Două dansuri româneşti (Bela Bartok, 1881-1945).

At the same time, this year  is marked by the presence of these  great composers, whose destinies met at some point, since we also celebrate an anniversary or a commemoration of each one of them. Moreover, Ravel's suite was composed as a hommage to his six friends who died during the First World War, which happened exactly 100 years ago.

Ana Silvestru had concerts on stages such as: Tonhalle Zürich, Musikkollegium Winterthur, University of Hebrew Studies in Jerusalem, The Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Prague, University of Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw, but also at international festivals such as: "Schubertiade" (Zürich), "Wagner" (Zürich), "Archipel" (Geneva) and Festival of Salzburg. After graduating  from the National Music University in Bucharest (professor Viniciu Moroianu), Ana Silvestru continued to work with the famous Constantin Șcerbakov at the University of Arts in Zürich, obtaining the prestigious diploma for the soloist and concert artist, magna cum laudae.

Henter Tamas Bertalan discovered his musical vocation relatively late, after completing his  university and postgraduate studies in Biology and Neurobiology at the ELTE University in Budapest. He is also a Bachelor and holder of 2 Master degrees (Education and Opera Soloist) from the prestigious University of Arts (ZHDK) in Zürich, where he studied with Lina Maria Akerlund and Markus Eiche. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Zürcher Singakademie (affiliated to the Tonhalle Orchestra), performing on the stage of Tonhalle Zürich with: Karawane by Essa Pekka Salonen, Stabat Mater by Francis Poulenc, Oratoriul de Crăciun by J.S. Bach.
