What Makes a Better City @ LFA '08

Romanian architects Teodor Frolu and Dorin Stefan from TransCentral Urban Bucharest and Oana Nituica and Claudiu Barsan-Pipu from the Bucharest University of Architecture are coming to the London Festival of Architecture to debate strategies of architectural, urban and social action for a better future of the cities we live in, with a focus on Bucharest. Special guest Peter Bishop, Director Design for London.

The cities of the global world are developing faster and faster. Bucharest is one of them, as are London, Berlin and many others. 'What makes a better city?' is a question we all should answer to. How do we deal with this? Who decides what is the best option for the future of the city? What are the tools we need to put in place to manage this process? When do we stop dreaming and start transform visions in interventions plan?

The debate will bring together architects, developers, journalists and theorists from Bucharest and London in a visionary discussion about urban life and environment.
