Romania represented at the gale concert Voices of Europe in the Slovak Republic

The Embassy of Romania in the Slovak Republic and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague support the Romanian participation at the gala concert organized on the occasion of Slovak Presidency of the EU Council - Voices of Europe - in the opening of the 12th edition of the Viva Musica! festival , on  June 2nd 2016, at 8:00  p.m., in Bratislava. 

More than 200 artists from the 28 member countries of the European Union - singers and orchestra - will interpret songs that are specific to each participating country, in 24 languages, under the coordination of bandmaster Jozef Chabroň.

The Romanian artists: baritone Mircea Cristian Ruja (George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, National University of Music Bucharest) and soprano Daniela Caraman (The Romanian Radio National Orchestra) will interpret Waves of the Danube by I. Ivanovici, accompanied by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra.

At the same time, in the background, a video material promoting Romania in a unique and original way will be projected for the fine audience.  Both the concert and the festivity will be broadcast live and recorded by the Slovak National Television.
