The Evaluation Results of the 2025 Call for Applications of the Romanian Books for Children (RBC) Financing Programme
After the evaluation of the applications submitted by foreign publishers for the 2025 Session of ROMANIAN BOOKS FOR CHILDREN programme, 4 applications out of the 10 eligible submitted applications have been selected to be financed, in accordance with the score obtained, within the limit of the budget available for the 2025 RBC Session. The grants are provided on condition that the publishers agree to the terms of the grant contract to be concluded with The Romanian Cultural Institute, including the agreement to publish the books no later than November 14, 2025. The grant contracts between The Romanian Cultural Institute and the foreign publishers selected are to be signed between June 11 and July 11, 2025.
If this deadline is exceeded, the sum that becomes available can be redistributed to the next eligible applications, according to the scores given by the evaluating panel. The publishing houses that will obtain a grant following this redistribution will be announced publicly, on the CENNAC website.
The members of the evaluating panel for the 2025 RBC Session were the following: Claudia-Eliza Filimon (university lecturer and translator), Corina-Susana Anton (associate professor and translator) and Petre Crăciun (writer and journalist).
