The Romanian Cultural Institute in London invites audiences to an evening of refined piano artistry, presented in partnership with World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, as part of the International Piano in the Elms initiative.
Romanian pianist Andrei Gologan is an artist whose work is distinguished by intellectual depth, and a strong engagement with the classical tradition. The programme brings together works spanning several musical eras,from French Baroque elegance and Romantic expressivity to modern and early twentieth-century repertoire, offering a carefully shaped musical journey that reflects both continuity and renewal within the piano tradition.
Designed as an intimate listening experience, the evening places artistic excellence in direct dialogue with the audience, emphasising clarity of sound, and the close relationship between performer and space.This partnership offers a platform for emerging and mid-career musicians, highlighting the value of mentorship, artistic exploration, and international collaboration.

Deeply connected to the musical traditions of the past while actively shaping the future of classical performance, Andrei Gologan is gaining international recognition as a thoughtful and distinctive concert pianist. His interpretations are marked by poetic refinement, structural clarity, and intellectual curiosity. He has performed at major European concert halls and festivals including Wigmore Hall, the Herkulessaal in Munich, Heidelberger Frühling, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and has received the support and mentorship of leading pianists such as Sir András Schiff and Richard Goode. Alongside his performance career, Andrei Gologan is actively engaged in musical education and artistic development. In 2024, he was appointed faculty member for chamber music at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg and is co-founder of the Buzz Chamber Music Festival in Obertrum am See, Austria. His artistic influences range from Ignaz Friedman and Bill Evans to the interpretative philosophy of Sergiu Celibidache, shaping a musical voice that is both grounded and exploratory.
International Piano in the Elms is a multi-day piano initiative that brings emerging and established pianists into focus through a series of recitals and artistic encounters designed to foster close engagement between performers and audiences. The programme highlights young musicians selected for their artistic individuality and interpretative potential, offering them a professional platform for development while inviting the public to experience piano performance in an accessible and intimate setting. By combining high artistic standards with educational and community-oriented values, the initiative encourages dialogue across generations and cultural contexts.
