Virtuosity and Panache for the National Celebration

Two mesmerizing virtuosos, acclaimed violinist Alexandru Tomescu, playing on a Stradivarius, and bandoneon maestro Omar Massa, join forces for an exhilarating tour of classical music masterpieces devoted to the National Day of Romania. A true history of some of the best music ever written, the recital features pieces by Bach, Haendel, Beethoven, Massenet, Fritz Kreisler, Astor Piazzola, culminating with famous scores by George Enescu and Ciprian Porumbescu, the most beloved Romanian composers. A piece composed by Dan Popescu as a reminder of the twisted life during the pandemic complements the program.
