The Piano Competition within the International Music Festival Prague Spring

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague supports the participation of the pianist Adela Liculescu in the Prague Spring Competition for piano and trumpet which will take place in Prague, between May 8-15, 2016, in Rudolfinum. This is a world competition that takes place within the framework of the festival, and is being held under the patronage of the President of the Czech Republic. 

Adela Liculescu was born in Craiova in 1993 and began to study the piano when she was 4 years old. She graduated the Fine Arts High School in her home town in 2012, and has been studying piano at the Music University of Wien starting the same year. Adela Liculescu is a promoter of Romanian music abroad, in 2015 having been invited by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague and the Romanian Embassy in the Czech Republic to hold a recital with music by Enescu, Liszt and Ravel, on the occasion of the International Day of Francophonie. She won several awards in international competitions in Wien, Zagreb or Karlovac, and in 2014 she received the special award for the best pianist qualified in the George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest.
