The conference "Architecture and Dictatorship, the Case-Study of Bucharest during the Ceaușescu era" will be held on March 20, 2018, starting with 14:15, at the Holon Institute of Technology (Auditorium, building 6), by university professor Marius Marcu-Lapadat.

Marius MARCU-LAPADAT is an architect and professor at the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, where he is a workshop advisor and lectures the courses on "Furniture and Ornament History" and "Urban Furniture". He initiated several architectural projects, as well as interior design ones. He was the chairman of the ”Romanian Foundation of Design” and served as advisor for the ”Mies van der Rohe” awards. Moreover, he was Commissioner of the Romanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennial of Architecture, for the 2006 and 2008 editions. He was a member of several examination commissions for both national and international competitions of architecture and design. Between 2012 and 2016 he was the Dean of the Faculty of Interior Architecture, within the ”Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Design.
