Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague and Rachot Production s.r.o invite you to the Fanfara Ciocârlia concert, on Monday, March 7th, 2016, at 7 p.m., in Palác
Akropolis (Kubelíkova 27, Praha 3).
Fanfara Ciocârlia, accompanied by Canadian guitar player Adrian Raso, will give a concert promoting the album Devil's tale. The event is part of the annual cycle Respect +, an international festival introducing multicultural bands, focusing on the specific music of their countries of origin.
We mention that the album has already been promoted during a successful tour consisting of 32 shows held in 11 countries (Australia, New Zeeland, Great Britain, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland and The Netherlands).
The musical structure of the band Fanfara Ciocârlia is the following: trumpets, tubas, percussion, saxofone, clarinet and drums, and their style is inspired from the Romanian traditional music, with major Balkan influences. Fanfara Ciocârlia are famous for their fast tempo music, complex rhythm, clarinet, saxophone and trumpet solos and for not using scores during the concerts, which are mainly improvized. Their songs are in Romanian and other languages.
