Art, books and music

Join us to celebrate Romania's presence at the London Book Fair with one of the most formidable Romanian jazz duos - Teodora Enache (vocal) & Sorin Terinte (piano) - and the opening of the exclusive exhibition of illustrations and artists' books Bound to Art, curated by Matei Caltia.

Programme 6.30: Doors open 7.00: Concert by Teodora Enache & Sorin Terinte 8.00: Opening of the exhibition Bound to Art, curated by Matei Caltia 8.30: Reception

Once compared with Ella Fitzgerald, Teodora Enache is one of the most authentic sounding vocalists on the Romanian scene today - and puts her music across with great swing, talent and entertainment. She has released nine albums and performed with famous American jazz musicians such as Curtis Fuller (Blues Alley), Les Paul (Iridium), Stanley Jordan (Decade), and Ricardo Scale (San Francisco).

Teodora's latest album, A Child is Born, will be available for purchase on the concert.

Sorin Terinte (piano) is one of the most talented figures of the Romanian jazz scene. He made his debut at the Jazz Festival in Sibiu in 1999. Sorin worked in London between 2000 - 2002, and had the chance to collaborate with important British jazz musicians.

Expect rushes of individual virtuosity and intuitive interplay from Teodora and Sorin!
