A series of cultural events dedicated to Schuman Day will take place on May 5th, 2016, between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m., on the Střelecký island on Vltava river (110 00 Prague 1).
The Embassy of Romania in the Czech Republic and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague will take part in the events organized by the European Commission Representation in Prague, together with the diplomatic and cultural missions of all the 28 EU member states, around Schuman Day (May 9th), with the title "European Days".
Our country will be presented at a common stand, where there will be displayed information and promotional materials: albums about România showing different cultural and geographic areas, the album Mari români de pretutindeni/ Outstanding Romanians Far and Wide by Dan Mironescu and Emanuel Bădescu (Alexis Publishing house, 2015), the documentary film „Gândit în România"/ „Thought in Romania", and traditional Romanian products.
Europe Day is an annual celebration and one of the European symbols that aims at promoting unity amongst EU citizens, culturally connecting all the audience categories.
