Totolino Show: A Joyful Children’s Day Circus Celebration at Willesden Green Library

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London, in collaboration with Willesden Green Library (Brent Libraries) and Romanian Artists Association UK, is delighted to invite children and families to a festive celebration of International Children’s Day on 30 May 2026, centred around the vibrant Totolino Show, a non-verbal circus performance filled with humour and imagination.

Running from 11:00am to 3:30pm, the programme unfolds across the welcoming spaces of the library, beginning with a series of creative workshops inspired by Romanian traditions. From egg painting to decorating folk-inspired costumes, children are invited to explore colour, pattern and storytelling through hands-on activities in a relaxed and playful setting.

The highlight of the day, Totolino Show, takes over the library with an energetic mix of circus acts and interactive moments. Audiences can expect a dynamic blend of hula hoop, club and ball juggling, plate spinning, magic and balloon modelling, alongside cheerful encounters and gentle audience participation, creating an immersive experience that moves fluidly between performance and play.

Adding to the atmosphere, members of the Romanian Cultural Institute in London team will host a special reading moment, bringing to life beloved classics from children’s literature in an intimate and engaging format.

Open to children of all backgrounds, the event offers a welcoming space for families from the Romanian community and beyond, celebrating creativity, connection and the joy of shared experiences through the universal language of performance.

We warmly invite you to join us for an afternoon of laughter, colour and discovery.
