RESULTS / Fostering Artistic Practices 2012

On 21st-22nd February 2012, took place the meeting of the jury that analyzed the projects received within the program ”Fostering Artistic Practices” organized by the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research of Venice and the Romanian Institute for Culture “Dimitrie Cantemir” of Istanbul.
The jury commission, which was approved by the Director Committee of the Romanian Cultural Institute, analyzed the 44 registered projects (in attachment) and decided that the following three wining projects will take place during 2012:

1. Bogdan Gârbovan – „Uniforme și veşminte“, for the Small Gallery of the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research of Venice.2. Alina Popa (Biroul de Cercetări Melodramatice, together with Irina Gheorghe, Claudiu Cobilanschi & Ştefan Tiron) – „The Turkish Dream“, for Depo Gallery in Istanbul.3. Dilek Winchester – „Sidelined Histories in the Tipographic Space“, for the New Gallery of the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research of Venice.

The contest is part of the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research of Venice and the Romanian Institute for Culture “Dimitrie Cantemir”, Istanbul program entitled “Fostering Artistic Practices”. The aim of the program is to encourage visual artists to engage with the specific institutional profiles and legacies.
