The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, is organizing between April 22-28, 2015 a master class of vocal technique and diction delivered by Dr. Anné-Marie Condacse from the Oklahoma State University. The event, in English, will be attended by students from the Vocal Department and the Faculty of Composition, Conducting and Theory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
On April 27th and 28th there will take place two events open to the public, according to the following program:
Monday, 27.04, 14:00 - 16:00, room 221 of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance - “Reverberations”, recital performed by soprano Anné-Marie Condacse, accompanied at the piano by Ido Ariel. The musical program is comprised of works by Romanian composers, such as Tiberiu Brediceanu, Felicia Donceanu, George Enescu, Nicolae Bretan, Pascal Bentoiu, Şerban Nichifor, Vlad Scolnic, Florin Comişel and George Grigoriu.Free entrance, the number of seats is limited.
Tuesday, 28.04, 20:00 - 22:00, room 221 of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance – Italian Opera Master class. The events will be performed by the students of the Vocal Department and the Faculty of Composition, Conducting and Theory, under the guidance of Dr. Anné-Marie Condacse and the musical program will include aria from important Italian opera compositions.Free entrance, the number of seats is limited.
Romanian-born soprano Anné-Marie Condacse has been a resident artist with the “George Enescu” Romanian National Philharmonic and has appeared as guest soloist with the Romanian National Opera, “Ion Dacian” Operetta Theater, Oradea Lyric Theater, Cairo Philharmonic, Cairo National Opera, Woodlands Symphony, and Moores Opera Center. Dr. Condacse has performed as a recitalist and concert artist throughout the United States, Romania, Italy, France, Germany, Egypt, and Mexico. She has appeared on programs broadcast on the Romanian National Television and Romanian National Radio.
Dr. Condacse’s operatic performance credits include: Corinna in Il Viaggio a Reims, Violetta in La traviata Musetta in La Bohème, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Blöndchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Cecile de Volanges in Dangerous Liaisons, Adele in Die Fledermauss, Marcantonio in Casanova’s Home Coming, and First Niece in Peter Grimes.
Her concert performances include: Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri, Fauré’s Requiem, Haydn’s Harmoniemesse, Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis, Mozart’s Krönungsmesse, Mozart’s Requiem, Händel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Botti’s Cosmosis. Her latest recording, "Anné-Marie Condacse Performing Chamber Music by Felicia Donceanu", was released on Electrecord label.
Dr. Condacse earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance with a minor in Vocal Pedagogy and Vocal Science from the Moores School of Music, University of Houston, and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University. Her principal voice teachers include Katherine Ciesinski, Joseph Evans, William Murray, Arta Florescu, and Venera Rogozea.
A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Condacse served on the voice faculty at the Cairo National Conservatoire of Music, Academy of Arts, Egypt. She also served as resident artist at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica G. P. Pergolesi, Italy; at the American University in Cairo, Egypt; and at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas, Mexico. Dr. Condacse serves as faculty and artist in residence at the ICON ARTS International Festival of Contemporary Music.
Dr. Condacse is an Associate Professor of Vocal Studies and Opera at Oklahoma State University, where she received the First Lady of OSU, Distinguished Professor of Music Award. Furthermore, Dr. Condacse serves as faculty member in the OSU School of International Studies and as Riata Faculty Fellow in the OSU School of Entrepreneurship.
