January 12 | AMERICAN THEATRE MAGAZINE

Award-winning designer and theatre professor Nic Ularu wrote "A Different Way of Learning," a tribute to the U.S. designer Ming Cho Lee. Ularu's essay is part of a chorus of voices which accompany editor Randy Gener's article, "Last Call at Ming's (and Betsy's) Clambake"-including those of Christopher Barreca, Dawn Chiang, John Conklin and George Tsypin and Nic Ularu- celebrating the legacy of legendary designer Ming Cho Lee's annual stage design portfolio review at Lincoln Center.
Theatre professor Adrian Giurgea wrote the article "When Designer and Actor Are One", which offers a compelling introduction to the work of Russia's Dmitry Krymov, whose award-winning productions showcase the work of the young students he takes on as active collaborators.
