Romanian fairytales - Sluneční princezna (Princess of the Sun) and Sníh a sněženka (Snow and Snowdrop)

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague invites you to an event dedicated to children aged between 3 and 8 years old. On Friday, 22 April, between 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., at Cafe Lajka (U Akademie 11 Praga), there will be an interactive storytelling afternoon, based on two adapted Romanian fairytales. The event is organized by the Projekt Luz Association.

During the first part of the program, the children will be watching a marionette theatre play, and during the two breaks they will be listening to the Romanian fairytales: Sluneční princezna (Princess of the Sun) și Sníh a sněženka (Snow and Snowdrop), adapted by Ms. Karolina Valová based on texts from the book Pohádky z beránčího kožísku (Rumunské lidové pohádky) / (Romanian faitytales) by Marie Kavková. During the second part, the children together with the narrator will be crafting sheep made of paper and accessories.

The Romanian fairytales are not always easy to undersatnd for children, therefore, they have been adapted and they will be told with the help of marionettes and toys. At the same time, Ms. Karolina Valová intends to involve the young ones in the storytelling act, aiming at maintaning their interest and attention by the theatre play and the crafting workshop.

The event will be in Czech.

Entrance fee 30 CZK.
