The American Premiere of "Gimpel Tam" (Gimpel the Fool), a new musical based on the short story by Isaac Bashevis Singer, written and directed by Moshe Yassur, music by Radu Captari, musical director Zalmen Mlotek, was also positively reviewed by the New York Post on December 12, with a special mentioning for the Romanian music composer Radu Captari:
" With a wonderful score by Romanian composer Radu Captari - expertly performed by an onstage four-piece klezmer band - "Gimpel Tam" is a simple but haunting musical that's perfectly suited to this venerable theatrical institution."
