Romanian Language Classes for Foreigners
ROMANIA(N) IN A NUTSHELL
Applications can now be submitted for 2011 courses, for the following modules (series):
1st series: January 18th – March 17th (deadline January 11th )
2nd series: March 28th - April 21st (deadline March 21st). Intensive course 3hours x 3 = 9 hours / week
3rd series: May 3rd – June 30th (deadline April 22nd)
4th series: September 5th – September 29th (deadline August 29th). Intensive course 3h x 3 = 9 hours / week
5th series: October 11th – December 13th (deadline October 4th)

Courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners at all modules!
The study groups comprise 8-12 students.
Duration: 36 study hours
Regular courses (1st, 3rd and 5th series): Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM (9 weeks)
Intensive courses (2nd and 4th series): Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 9 PM (4 weeks)
Location: "Alexandru Vlahuţă" Secondary School, 5 Şcoala Floreasca St., Bucharest (Piaţa Dorobanţi area).
Costs: 850 RON or 200 Euros.
Payment conditions:
The fee must be received before the deadline for the application. Please write the applicant's name on all the documents relating to bank transfer. All bank charges are the responsibility of the applicant.

In order assess the knowledge in Romanian language of those enrolled, they will be given a language test before the beginning of the courses and will be placed in groups according to the evaluation of these tests.
Conditions for withdrawal from the course:
• If you inform the ICR team in writing, before the course starts, we will be able to refund you the course fee, minus an administrative charge of 10%.
• If you inform the ICR team in writing, before the 12th of the total of 36 classes of the course, you will get a credit report and will be reimbursed for the costs of the remaining unattended classes minus 25% of this amount, charged as administrative costs.
• No credits are reimbursed after the 12th class.
Instructors:
Ana Borca holds a PhD in Romanian philology from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Letters. Initially raised and educated in the historical Maramures (a region that belongs nowadays to Ukraine), Ana is a specialist in teaching Romanian without using any other language, by emerging the students in a „linguistic bath". A former journalist, she also taught Romanian Language at the Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute (Center) for the Romanians Living Abroad and she has been teaching Romanian for foreigners for 6 years now. Presently she also coordinates the Language Courses Program at the Romanian Cultural Institute.
Ilinca Busurcă graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, specialization Russian Language and Literature - Romanian Language and Literature. She graduated the Master on Russian Cultural Studies and Business Communication and the second Master "Culture and Mentality in the European Integration of Romanians". Ilinca Busurcă works at the Department for Students' Services from the University of Bucharest and she taught Romanian Language at the Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute (Center) for the Romanians Living Abroad. She has a qualification as a trainer and she has a 6 years experience in teaching Romanian language for foreigners.
Gabriela Stoica graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, Romanian Language and Literature and Latin Language and Literature and the Master on "The structure and the evolution of Romanian language". She is in the sixth year of doctoral studies in linguistics, historical semantics field. She is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, department of Romanian language, where she has 6 years experience in teaching Romanian as foreign language. She also work as a researcher at the "Iorgu Iordan – Al. Rosetti" Institute of Linguistics of the Romanian Academy of Sciences, department of Romance Linguistics.
Ioana Vasiloiu graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, Romanian-French section, the Master on Modern Literature and the Master on Cultural Anthropology at the same faculty. Ioana holds a Ph.D. in Romanian literature from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Letters. She taught Romanian Language for foreigners at the Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute (Center) for the Romanians from everywhere and Romanian Literature at the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest. She also collaborates with the Center of Cultural Anthropology, from the University of Bucharest, currently she is scientific researcher to the National Museum of Romanian Literature.
Carmen Vasile graduated from the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, Romanian Language and Literature and French Language and Literature, graduated the Master on "Contemporary Romanian language: structures and communication strategies". She is now in her third year of study at the Doctoral school of the same faculty. She worked as book editor, reader, etc., currently she is a researcher at the "Iorgu Iordan – Al. Rosetti" Institute of Linguistics of the Romanian Academy of Sciences.

Cursuri de Limbă Română pentru Străini
ROMÂN(I)A PE SCURT
Programul cursurilor în anul 2011:
Seria 1: 18 ianuarie – 17 martie (data limită 11 ianuarie )

Grupele sunt formate din 8-12 cursanţi.
Durata: două luni - 36 de ore de curs
Cursuri normale (seriile 1, 3 şi 5): marţi şi joi, între orele 18.30-20.30 (9 săptămâni).
Cursuri intensive (seriile 2 şi 4): luni, miercuri şi joi, între orele 18.00-21.00 (4 săptămâni).
Locaţia: Liceul „Alexandru Vlahuţă", Str. Şcoala Floreasca nr. 5, Bucureşti (zona Piaţa Dorobanţi).
Costuri: 850 RON sau 200 euro pe modul.
Condiţii de achitare a taxei de participare:
Taxa de participare trebuie achitată integral până la data limită de înscriere. Numele participantului şi "Institutul Cultural Român" trebuie să fie menţionate în toate actele de transfer bancar. Comisionul bancar perceput pentru efectuarea transferului taxei de participare va fi plătit de către participant.

Pentru a stabili nivelul cunoştinţelor de limba română, cursanţii vor da un test, pe baza căruia se va face repartizarea pe grupe.

Condiţii de retragere de la curs:
• Dacă anunţaţi echipa ICR, în scris, înainte de începerea cursului, veţi primi suma plătită, minus o taxă de prelucrare de 10%.
• Dacă anunţaţi echipa ICR, în scris, pe parcursul primelor 6 lecţii (înainte de cea de a 12-a oră de curs din cele 36), veţi primi suma plătită minus contravaloarea orelor parcurse şi 25% taxa administrativă pentru contravaloarea cursurilor neefectuate.
• Începând cu a patra săptămână nu se mai restituie nicio taxă.
Instructori:
Ana Borca este licenţiată în litere şi Doctor în filologia română, cu o teză susţinută la Facultatea de Litere, Universitatea Bucureşti. După ce a urmat primii ani de şcoală în zona natală, în Maramureşul istoric (regiune aflată la ora actuală pe teritoriul Ucrainei), Ana a venit în România, unde a lucrat ca jurnalistă şi s-a specializat în predarea limbii române fără a folosi altă limbă, cu alte cuvinte prin „scufundarea într-o baie lingvistică" a studenţilor. Ea predă română pentru străini de 6 ani, a colaborat cu Institutul (Centrul) Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi pentru Românii de Pretutindeni, iar acum este coordonatoarea Cursurilor de Limba Română a Institutului Cultural Român.
Ilinca Busurcă a absolvit Facultatea de Limbi şi Literaturi Străine, specializarea Limba şi Literatura Rusă-Limba şi Literatura Română. A urmat cursurile de master „Studii Culturale Ruse şi Comunicare în Afaceri" şi al doilea master „Cultură şi mentalitate în integrarea europeană a românilor". Lucrează la Departamentul Servicii pentru Studenţi din cadrul Universităţii din Bucureşti; a predat limba română pentru străini la Institutul (Centrul) Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi pentru Românii de Pretutindeni. Are calificarea de trainer şi o experienţă de 6 ani în predarea limbii române pentru străini.
Gabriela Stoica este licenţiată a Facultăţii de Litere, Universitatea din Bucureşti, specializarea Limba şi literatura română – Limba şi literatura latină. Este absolventă a masteratului "Structura şi evoluţia limbii române", iar din 2004 este doctorand în filologie (domeniul lingvistică – istoria limbii române). Este asistent universitar la Facultatea de Litere, Universitatea din Bucureşti, catedra de limba română, unde are o experienţă de 6 ani în predarea limbii române ca limbă străină, şi asistent de cercetare la Institutul de Lingvistică "Iorgu Iordan – Al. Rosetti" al Academiei Române, sectorul Romanistică.

Este doctor în filologie, domeniul literatura română. A predat limba română la Institutul (Centrul) Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi pentru Românii de Pretutindeni. Este asistent colaborator al Facultatii de Litere, Universitatea din Bucuresti şi cercetător ştiinţific la Muzeul Naţional al Literaturii Române.
Carmen Vasile este licenţiată a Facultăţii de Litere a Universităţii din Bucureşti, specializarea limba şi literatura română şi franceză, este absolventă a masteratului "Limba română contemporană: structuri şi strategii de comunicare" şi este în anul 3 la şcoala de doctorat în cadrul aceleiaşi facultăţi. A lucrat ca redactor de carte, corector şi în prezent este cercetător la Institutul de Lingvistică "Iorgu Iordan – Al. Rosetti" al Academiei Române.
