Placed under the high patronage of the President of Romania and bringing together no less than 100 artists from Romania of various ethno-cultural backgrounds, the exhibition ”Multicultural Identities”, on display at the United Nations Headquarters’ ”Curved Wall” starting with May 28, offers a striking overview of the diverse cultural and aesthetic Romanian landscape.
The project, based on a series of workshops organized by the Inter-Art Foundation of Aiud, is brought to New York by the Permanent Mission of Romania to the U.N., the Department of Interethnic Relations of the Romanian Government, the Ministry of Culture and National Identity of Romania, Aiud City Hall, Alba Iulia City Hall, and ”Liviu Rebreanu” Cultural Center Aiud, with support from RCI New York.
