Vlad Nanca @ Attic Arts

Vlad Nanca studied Photography and Video at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. He has taken part in various solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, such as: Dream of Bucharest, Stuttgart, 2007 (solo); Boulevard Renault 12, Bucharest, 2007 (solo); Overcoming Dictatorships, Birmingham, 2008 (group); Social Cooking, Berlin, 2007 (group).

As artist-in-residence at the Romanian Cultural Institute, he will develop a research into the artistic and teaching activity of acclaimed artist Paul Neagu, with support from the 'Paul Neagu' Estate. The project, called Paul Neagu hyphen Slade hyphen Contemporary Sculpture, aims to explore Paul Neagu's defining influence on the development of British contemporary sculpture. The results of the research will be presented within the 'Paul Neagu' exhibition at the ICR London early October this year.
