An Artist, a Piano and a Cimbalom

Virtuoso Cătălin Răducanu kicks off our 2024 Enescu Concerts Series with an eclectic concert which brings together classical music, jazz and folk songs. The programme features piano works by Chopin, Debussy, Dan Dediu and George Enescu, alongside the cimbalom arrangement of Erik Satie, Gnossienne No. 1, works by Toni Iordache and Ciprian Porumbescu. Join us on 1 Belgrave Square to enjoy a dazzling performance, which breaks down cultural barriers while navigating different genres, aided by a piano and cimbalom.

Cătălin Răducanu graduated from the “Dinu Lipatti” National College of Arts and the National University of Music of Bucharest. He studied piano with Alma Peter and with Vlad Dimulescu, Dana Borșan and Viniciu Moroianu. He is the recipient of a number of national and international awards and performed widely in Germany, Hungary, France and Italy. Cătălin Răducanu attended masterclasses with renowned teachers such Gabriel Amiraș, Andrei Gavrilov and Cristian Beldi. He is also a scholar of HM Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation.

Cătălin Răducanu is also a composer and is currently undertaking PhD studies under the guidance of the illustrious musician Dan Dediu.
