Nurture
your adventurous side as we take you on a treasure hunt around Belgrave
Square, exploring the ways foreign languages and translations connect
people and cultures all over the world. Come celebrate the European Day
of Languages with us! No knowledge of foreign languages required, this
is a game for young people and adults alike.
Once assembled at the meeting point, the players will be divided into
two teams. Following their instructions, they will explore the four
locations using their phrasebooks to translate the clues they have been
given, and ultimately discovering what's inside their mystery box and
reaching a surprising outcome.
The event is organised by literary translator Rosalind Harvey in
collaboration with the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Italian Cultural
Institute, Instituto Cervantes and the Embassy of Portugal in London.
