(C) John Ross

World-renowned Romanian ballerina Alina Cojocaru, principal of The Royal Ballet, is joined by fellow Royal Ballet principal dancer Johan Kobborg and The Manning Camerata in a charity gala evening in support of Hospices of Hope.

The programme includes Tim Rushton's celebrated choreography of L'apres-midi d'un faune, popular classical highlights and a world premiere piece by Kim Brandstrup.

Born in Bucharest and trained in Kiev, Alina joined the Royal Ballet in 1999, becoming a principal ballerina in 2001. She excels in both traditional and modern roles and her programme for this special night promises to be unique and enticing. Her reviews are an eloquent tribute to her ability as a truly exceptional dancer and her partner, Johan Kobborg, will be joining her on stage giving the audience an opportunity to enjoy one of the world's most sought after dance couples.

Her guest appearances include performances with the Mariinsky Ballet, ABT, Royal Danish Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Romanian National Theatre Ballet and Hungarian National Ballet.

The gala event is organised by Hospices of Hope with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute and Anglo Romanian Bank Limited.
