The Romanian Cultural Institute supports the concert of Fanfare Ciocarlia at The Barbican.
Winner of the BBC Radio3 World Music Awards in 2006, the most exuberant of the Balkan brass bands will perform their fast and furious sound promoting their last album Queens & Kings.
Fanfare Ciocarlia present the only UK performance of Queens & Kings. Here they are joined on stage by Macedonia's Gypsy Queen Esma Redzepova, Bulgarian Gypsy soul singer Jony Iliev, Hungary's maverick vocalist Mitsou and Perpignan Rumba Gitano band Kaloome.
