Andreea Valean, theatre director, playwright and manager of the dramAcum project, takes up residence at the Institute c/o the Attic Arts programme. dramAcum promotes Romanian contemporary theatre through translations of, and shows based on, plays by emerging Romanian authors such as Peca Stefan, Maria Manolescu, Vera Ion, Gianina Carbunariu and many others.
As our summer artist-in-residence, Andreea Valean will keep herself busy writing a new play and working with the Institute and The Royal Court Theatre to develop contemporary theatre projects.
