DRAWINGS by Oana Coșug. Exhibition at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv. 22 July – 20 September 2014

Between 22 July an 20 September 2014, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv is hosting the exhibition „Drawings by Oana Coșug”, comprising 20 graphic artworks made by the artist in several art colonies at Tescani and in the Danube Delta.
The drawings selected for this exhibition are sketches featuring spontaneous gestures, figurative elements approached as abstract shapes and textures, translated on paper through unconventional use of art materials and techniques. Some of these are developed into big size compositions and projects.
Oana Coșug studied painting with prof. Teodor Moraru and received her degree in painting in 2002, at the National University of Art in Bucharest. Since 2005 she is living and working in Belgium. In 2009 she received her masters degree at “Academie Royale des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles”. She presented her artworks in many personal, group or collective exhibitions in Romania, Belgium, Italy and Japan. In 2012 she won the First Prize at the International Biennial of Contemporary Drawing Namur, Belgium.

The exhibition is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 10:00 – 15:00 hrs., at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, 8 Shaul Hamelech Blvd., 6th Floor.
