NICOLAE DUMITRU 
Born in Bucharest, Romania, on the 25th of November 1968.

Educational background: - Special Postgraduate Classes in Concert Performing and Aesthetics of Piano Performance (1998 - 2001) at the "Gnessins" State Academy of Music in Moscow; - Student of the Special Piano Department at the same Academy (1993-1998), on a Romanian State grant; graduates as Master of Arts under professor Mikhail Sayamov, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation; - Preparatory stage at the Moscow "Gnessins" State Music College (1991-1993); - Between 1992 and 2001 studies in private under professor Emanuel Monaszon - Mathematical high-school in Bucharest (1983 - 1987), private piano classes with Sonia Ratesco and Dan Mizrahy.
Teacher of special piano classes at the "George Enescu" high school of Music in Bucharest;
International appearings : 8th of june2001 at the "P.I. Tchaikovsky" Concert Hall in Moscow, with the Moscow Philarmony under Vladimir Ponkin (Rachmaninov - Piano concerto nr.2 in c minor); 30th of November 2004 - recital at Musikmuseet Stockholm; 15th of June2005 - recital "George Enescu and Vienna of his times" at the Bosendorfer Saal in Vienna; 24th of Npvember 2006 - recital at the Baden Konzert und Konferenz Saal, Austria;

Guest soloist of the "George Enescu" Romanian State Philharmony in Bucharest - Piano Concerto nr.2 in g minor by C. Saint - Saens, on the 20th of january 2005

In the 2003 - 2004 concert season:
• piano and singing recital at the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest (27th of january) as soloist and accompanist; recital in the memory of F. Chopin (on the 22nd of february), under the aegis of the Polish Institute of Bucharest

- recital of piano and chamber voice pieces by Modest Mussorgski (8th of June) at the Radio Great Hall, under the aegis of the Russian Embassy;

Returned to Romania (December 2001): in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003, performs with Philarmonies from Kishinev (Republic of Moldova), and cities of Romania, with the programmes:
J. Brahms - Piano Concerto no. 1 in d minor
S. Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto no. 2 in c minor
C. Saint-Saens - Piano Concerto nr.2 in g minor
A. Dvorak - Piano Concerto in g minor op.33

At the end of the Post-graduation Classes (December 2001) tours in major cities of Russia (Omsk, Novosibirsk, Nizhni - Novgorod, Moscow) with the programmes mentioned above ;
During the 2000 - 2001 concert season:
Supported by Club France in Moscow, completes a cycle of concerts "France - Russie: Melodie, Parole, Ame" held at the Armoury Chamber of Kremlin and concluded at the "P.I. Tchaikovsky" Concert Hall, with the Moscow Philarmony under Vladimir Ponkin (Rachmaninov - Piano concerto nr.2 in c minor); this concert was broadcasted by Russian and Romanian Radio and TV Channels;
During 1998 - 2000, has his debuts on Recital and Symphonic Stages at Moscow (Armoury Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin) and Kishinev (Concerto no. 1 by J. Brahms), followed by the Romanian debut at the Auditorium Hall in Bucharest;
Between 1995 and 2001 teaches and performs in Moscow in close contact with organisations like The International Women's Club and Club France.

On the 30th of May 1987, performs the Piano Concerto no. 23 by Mozart, with the Physicists' Chamber Orchestra of Bucharest, at the Romanian Athenaeum;

Foreign languages: English, French (both fluent speech and writing), Russian (perfectly)
