The 19th International Cartoon Exhibition – Haifa 2013 will be exhibiting cartoons from all over the world, under the title “Tourism, Recreation, Vacation & Leisure, Extreme Activities etc”. The cartoons have been selected after a contest, organized in the summer of 2013.
At this edition, the Romanian cartoonist Pavel Constantin will receive the Special Prize awarded by the Festival Jury in cooperation with The Haifa Tourism Association. The Prize Award Ceremony will take place on September 28th, 2013, at 18:30, at Haifa Auditorium, in the presence of the Haifa Mayor, Yona Yahav.
Pavel Constantin is a member of the Federation of Cartoonists Organizations (FECO). He is constantly publishing in various magazines and newspapers in Romania; he participated in a large number of cartoon exhibitions and contests and he received numerous awards, such as: Hidezo Kondo Award (Tokyo); First Prize at the international exhibitions from Montreal, Seoul, Shanghai, Barcelona, Wolffsurg, Barakaldo, Vianden and many others.
The exhibition is open to the public at the Haifa Auditorium (138 Hanassi Blvd.), daily between 10.00 – 22.00 hrs. and at Castra Cultural Center (8 Moshe Fliman St.), from Sunday to Thursday between 10.00 – 22.00 hrs., and on Friday between 10.00-15.00 hrs.
