„Nothingness Beyond the Void” by Belu Făinaru. Contemporary art exhibition at Kupferman Gallery, Lohamei HaGetaot. 25.12.2010 – 31.05.2011

On Christmas day, Saturday December 25, 2010, at 11:30 hrs, Belu Simion Făinaru is inviting us to a spiritual reflection on contemporaneity. The curator Yona Fischer selected for this project a series of art objects and site specific installations, from the artist´s recent and older creations. They compose a metaphoric comment coping with the lack of content, absence of real communication in the contemporary media.
Well known for his neo-conceptualist and post-minimalist objects and installations, the Romanian born Israeli artist Belu Simion Făinaru is constantly present in the top level events of the contemporary art. Now on the peak of his career, the artist participated in events such as Documenta in Kassel or the Venice Biennale, as well as with projects in important galleries and museums of the world, like S.M.A.K. Gent or Seoul National Art Museum. In 2010, he initiated the Haifa Mediterranean Biennale.
