Mihaela Ursuleasa, a young Romanian pianist, is acclaimed throughout the world. Since the winning of Clara Haskil Competition, at 16 years, she continues to play with the world's top orchestras and conductors: Kurt Sanderling, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Neville Marriner, Hugh Wolff. She developed a reputation for fusing vividness, technical perfection and lyrical talent.
With an outstanding international career of over 30 years, Horia Andreescu holds a unique place in Romanian music history. He has toured the world conducting famous orchestras: Gewandhaus-Leipzig, Staatskapelle-Berlin, Berlin Symphonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, BBC Scotland Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra, Radio Orchestras from Madrid, Copenhagen, Rejkjavik, Ljubliana, Amsterdam, Philarmonic Orchestras of Budapest, Thesaloniki, Turin, Israel Chamber Orchestra Tel Aviv, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London.
In 1988, the world-famous Romanian conductor Horia Andreescu founded the ensemble Virtuosos of Bucharest. Through its tours it became rapidly recognised for its exceptional interpretations, especially of Haydn's works and of German Transylvanian composers.
