The Romanian tenor Ovidiu Purcel studied at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj with Marius Vlad Budoiu. He won many Romanian voice competitions. He has regularly performed at the Romanian National Opera in Cluj, with the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra
