Amazing Pianist Alexandra Dariescu Joins The Academy of St Martin in the Fields in an Unmissable Concert

Renowned for her bold artistry, expressive depth, and technical brilliance, Alexandra Dăriescu has established herself as one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. A trailblazer in the classical music world, she is celebrated for her innovative programming and ability to bring fresh perspectives to traditional and lesser-known repertoire. Alexandra has performed with leading orchestras worldwide and is particularly recognized for her commitment to championing female composers and expanding the reach of classical music.


This concert programme features Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto, a remarkable work that Schumann composed, premiered, and published by the age of sixteen - an extraordinary achievement for one of the 19th century’s most distinguished pianists. The evening will also include Mozart’s Rondo in D for Piano and Orchestra, a piece that holds special significance for Alexandra, as it was the first work she performed publicly with an orchestra. In a more intimate setting, Alexandra will collaborate with ASMF musicians in the chamber performance of Clara Schumann’sThree Romances for Violin and Piano with Tomo Keller on violin. Additionally, she will join cellist Richard Harwood for Three Pieces for Cello and Piano by Nadia Boulanger, the esteemed composer, conductor, and teacher. The programme also features Within Her Arms by contemporary British composer Anna Clyne, a deeply moving piece written in memory of her mother.
