Catrinel Danaiata & Andreea Saguna @ Attic Arts

Catrinel Danaiata and Andreea Saguna graduated from the National University of Drama and Film in Bucharest, Department of Film Directing and are currently studying toward a PhD at the same University.

During the residency at the Institute, they will be developing a docu-fiction film screenplay called Herrotic Accounts. The inspiration for their film comes from the true story of a man who has been kidnapped on the coast of the Black Sea by Bulgarian bandits. After his family paid a ransom to the bandits, the man has been released, but only after one of his kidneys had been removed. While focusing on the emotional impact / aspects of the kidnap, the film will also include interviews with the victim of the kidnapping and doctors specialized in organ transplants.
