The Romanian performance artists Alexandra Pirici & Manuel Pelmus blew the socks off the international art world with their Immaterial Retrospective of the Venice Biennale at the 2013 Venice Biennale. You’ll soon get the chance to see them in Brussels.
Along with the other performers they make their way through art history and portray the immaterial heritage that is present in the collective memory. Day after day they put on a performance as a play. They wander through the exhibition halls and wrestle with Yves Klein’s ideas about emptiness and eternity.
