The Romanian Cultural Institute in Prague sustains the participation of the Romanian translator Maria Cristea at the studies seminars and translation workshops in the Czech Republic, where she was invited with all the winners of the Susanne Roth's 2016 Translators' Competition. The competition is in honour of the famous Swiss Czech specialist and translator Susanne Roth (1950-1997), who contributed considerably to the promotion of contemporary Czech literature abroad.
The Competition was run by the Czech Centres in 12 European countries and languages. The competition was for beginner translators up to 40 years of age, whose task was to translate a piece of contemporary Czech prose. Contestants translated a self-contained extract from Anna Bolava's book Do tmy (Chapter Six - Divizna velkokvětá květ, pp. 98-112) which revolves around the idea of medicinal plants, illness and waiting for the final end. In each country a board of jurors announced the winning translator.

-Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 18:30 - working dinner with the author Anna Bolavá, who provided the excerpts for the translation competition
- Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 9:30 to 13:00, the presentations of the translation competition's winners, at the institute of Arts and Theatre, Celetná 17, floor 2, Prgue 1.
Brno, Olomouc, Lysice, Kunštát:
- 14 - 18 July, 2016, studies seminars and translation workshops with the 13 winners, 14 professional translators and students from the Moravian region.
