Neagu between Beyus and Kantor

Richard Demarco is the first British curator who, in 1968, invited Romanian artists and writers to participate in the Edinburgh International Festival. Over the years he has worked with Paul Neagu, Ion Bitzan, Horia Bernea, Ovidiu Maitec, Ilie Pavel, Peter & Ritzi Jacobi, Ion Caramitru, Marin Sorescu and Miriam Raducanu, among others. Their works have been presented throughout the UK along with works by Joseph Beyus and Tadeusz Kantor and have been included in Demarco's comprehensive archive of paintings, sculptures, catalogues and correspondence with artists and galleries worldwide. The Archive was bought by The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in 1995 and is currently being digitized at the Dundee Arts Centre to be available online in 2008.

Neagu between Beyus and Kantor is a lecture focusing on the contribution of Romanian artists to the Edinburgh International Festival and Paul Neagu's influence on British renowned artists such as Antony Gormley and Anish Kapoor.
