Working on this special project together with Mattia Magatelli and Kristijan Krajncan was a journey of new discoveries, in which, declares George Dumitru - the founder of the trio -, learned more about his Romanian roots and family.
The voice you'll hear on the very first track is Mama-mare's (his grandmother) speaking Romanian traditional proverbs. As trio, DUMItRIOpicked-up her rhythm and intonation and used it as building element in the playing and improvisation.

A captivating atmosphere, informed by Romanian folk music and buttressed by the readings of native proverbs and unstructured improvisations.” - All About Jazz
