The Romanian Cultural Institute, through the National Book Center (CENNAC), launches the „2026 Call Session” for applications within the Translation and Publication Support (TPS), Publishing Romania and Romanian Books for Children (RBC) financing programmes for translations of Romanian books and publications abroad.

„2026 Call Session” is aimed at titles to be published in 2026.

This session's budget for each of the three programmes will be announced after the promulgation of the State Budget Law.

The application files are to be submitted only online, by email (tps@icr.ro for TPS, publishingromania@icr.ro for Publishing Romania and rbc@icr.ro for RBC).

The application files will be received from March the 30^th until April the 14^th 2026, in accordance with the schedule presented below. The deadline for application is April the 14^th 2026 (10:00 AM, GMT+2). The assessment will be made by a panel of independent experts, selected after a public call for applications.

Aimed at foreign publishing houses which intend to publish Romanian books and publications in translation, the two programs are meant to facilitate the access of international audiences to Romanian culture and to support the presence of Romanian authors and books on the international book markets.

24 March 2026	The launch of the 2026 TPS, RBC & Publishing Romania’s call for applications
30 March-14 April 2026	The submission, by foreign publishers, of the application files, according to the Guidelines of the two financing programmes. This call for applications strictly concerns titles to be published in 2026.
14 April 2026 10:00 AM, GMT+2	The final day of the call for applications
14-16 April 2026	The applications received are being verified by the internal CENNAC committee
17 April 2026	The final list of the eligible applications
20-24 April 2026	The assessment, by a panel of independent experts, of the eligible applications
27-30 April 2026	The validation of the panel’s evaluation, by the Board of Directors of the Romanian Cultural Institute
4 May 2026	The publicizing of the list of evaluated editorial projects, upon prior validation by the Board of Directors of the Romanian Cultural Institute, on the platforms www.cennac.ro and www.icr.ro
5 May-14 June 2026	The conclusion of the grant contracts with the winning publishing houses, with 2026 as term for the reimbursement by the Romanian Cultural Institute
