



The 24th biennial Jerusalem International Book Fair [JIBF] took place from February 15-20, 2009 at the ICC Jerusalem-International Convention Center, Binyanei Ha'uma.
The Romanian stand at the Fair was organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Culture, Religious Affairs and National Patrimony - International Relations Department, with the support of the Embassy of Romania to the State of Israel.
The Israeli public, as well as the participants in the book fair, have meet renowned Romanian writers Petru Cimpoeşu, Radu Aldulescu, Dan Lungu and the poet Gabriel Chifu, visual artist Ioana Ursa, on behalf of the Illustrators' Club, and Lucia Toader, coordinator of the program Scholarships for foreign translators at the Romanian National Book Center. Bogdan-Alexandru Stănescu, manager of the Bucharest branch of Polirom, the biggest publishing house in Romania, was also present at the Fair.
