Romanian participation at the 14th edition of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, May 13-29, 2014 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art

The 14th edition of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition will take place between May 13-29, 2014 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Romania will be represented in the competition by Adela Liculescu, who will be performing in the program starting with May 14, at 19:00 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

20-year old Adela Liculescu, born in Craiova (Romania), started playing the piano at the age of four. She graduated from the High School of Art “Marin Sorescu” in Craiova, with the highest degree. Adela studied the piano under the guidance of Mrs. Mariana Ilie and of Maestro Mihai Ungureanu, concert soloist in the Oltenia PhilharmonicOrchestra of Craiova. Now she studies at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna under the guidance of Professor Martin Hughes. In 2013, Adela won 5th prize at the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna and 1st prize at the 2012 Elena Rombro-Stepanow Klavierwettbewerb in Vienna.
