The 20215 Beijing International Book Fair was held between August 26th and August 30th. This year marked the first Romanian participation, the booth was organized by National Book Center and Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
Romanian program included meeting with Chinese and Asian publishers, meeting with Chinese writers, as well as the presentation of support programs for translation carried out by the Romanian National Book Centre, a workshop about translating Romanian language literature into Chinese, book launches and other related events. Interest in Romanian culture and Romanian writers was very high, the public beening able to consult books and albums published by the several Romanian publishing houses in the most diverse fields, from history to literature, poetry and children’s book, to essay, modern and contemporary art.
