Organ recitals performed by Zsolt Garai in Jerusalem, November 4-7, 2014

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv is organizing between November 4-7, 2014 three organ recitals performed by Zsolt Garai in Jerusalem, as follow: on November 4, at 8:00 pm at the Pontifical Institute Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center, on November 5, at 6:00 pm, at the Augusta Victoria Church and on November 7, at 7:00 pm, at The Cathedral of St.George the Martyr.
The events are organized in collaboration with The Representative of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, Jordan and Jericho, The Cathedral of St.George the Martyr, The Pontifical Institute Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center, The Augusta Victoria Church and Rose Music Library in Jerusalem.

Zsolt Garai was born in 1979 in Arad (Romania). He began to study the piano at a young age, under the guidance of his first teacher, Teodor Caciora. He attended the classes of the Sabin Dragoi Art School in Arad, in the organ-piano class of Prof. Megyesi-Balog Éva. He graduated from Prof. Dr. Ursula Philippi’s organ classes and Prof. Dr. Cornel Taranu’s composition classes at the “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in Cluj Napoca where he also took his masters degree later in 2005 and his PhD in 2013.
He participated in numerous master courses at the National Händel Academy (Karlsruhe, 1999, 2000) and also in Bad Wimphen, Budapest, Debrecen, Cluj Napoca, Breaza (2003, 2004), Bucharest. He has a rich concert activity both in Romania and abroad, in Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Poland.
He is currently a lecturer at the Musical Pedagogy Department of the Emanuel University in Oradea (Romania). Since 2010 he is a harpsichord player in the Il Pastor Fido Old Baroque Musical Ensemble.
